Customer contacted me using same exact text as mentioned in this scammers alert. Said her boss sent me a check for her total paycheck amount. Situation got worse when she continued to text me very frequently requesting my immediate action to deposit the check (that spelled Anchorage, AK wrong on the suspicious Wells Fargo check) and send her a Vanilla Reload Network card pin number so she could immediately access the money.

I am going to both Wells Fargo and the U.S. Post Office now to report this mail and bank fraud activity and advise you to immediately decline offers like this should you be unfortunate to receive one as I did.

Best to you

Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell. And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
