I was contacted by email by a Melissa Sanders that wished to place a Scentsy order for a family event. When asked for cc for payment she said her uncle was the one paying for items and that he did not \"operate\" a credit card. I advised her that I would not be able to place the order until the check clears the bank and she was fine with it. She said she was sick from chemo treatment and uncle had made the check for more than the amount. She actually sent me 2 $950.00 checks priority mail, sent from an address in PA listed Berkeley Capital Trust Inc 555 Montgomery Street San Francisco, CA 94111 and First Republic Bank 111 Pine St San Francisco, CA 94111. Then she started pressing to see if I had received the check and kept asking me to deposit it in time for the party.
Her phone number she gave me was and 646) 450-2675 when I didn\'t respond she began texting me from (213)290-5452. Needless to say I did not deposit her checks and I let her know that I had contacted Scentsy and authorities and that her info was online. I hope this puts an end to this. If you read other Scentsy scam posts you will see that she uses different names and email addresses and phone numbers, but checks are always for more than the ordered amount. Thank God that He looks out for me!!

The first link is an identical scenario, identical phone numbers, and identical claim she has cancer etc... Chase Bank verified the checks are fraud. Authorities have been alerted. DO NOT TAKE ANY ORDERS FROM MELISSA SANDERS. If the poorly made checks happen to go through for ANY reason-you would be liable for the amount bounced.
