Classified Ads Scam
1 |  +2 Gumtree ad scam Text from unknown to Contact by email, asking what items I have for sale, will buy them and have courier come by If I tell him what I have for sale first, please remove the ads but will need to pay western union first to pay courier. blah blah blah. I have been down that path once already buddy sorry!! |

Similar to the previous entries. Contact was made via text message early yesterday morning with no recorded number to text back but asking to contact by email regarding the item we have on Gumtree. They asked for our lowest price for item for sale but did not remember how much the item was listed for. I replied with the price and he replied saying he wanted my paypal or bank details for direct deposit and he would arrange courier to pick item up for overseas delivery and if possible could he have more pictures.

Similar to previous entry. Contact by text message with no recorded number to text back but asking to contact by email regarding the item i have for sale on gumtree. Asked for firm price for item for sale but did not mention in email what item actually was. When i replied with the price the return email said he wanted my paypal or bank details for direct deposit and he would arrange courier to pick item up for overseas delivery. Have not responded any further after suspecting a scam.
