I paid R15 200 for a TV and sound system from this website. They told me they had stock, then sent me a tracking number for the items, which was a fake website - http://www.timeframecour.com/. I got an email from the courier stating that I had to pay R3950 in customs duties. The guy from Electronic Point said it was an error, and that I would be refunded. When I made that paykment, I got another email stating there were extra items in the package (more TV\'s) and that I had to pay another R6550. At that point I googled and found many other stories very similar to mine.
Follow Ups/Extra Information. Most recent is listed first.
STAY AWAY from any of the above websites. It would appear they are a syndicate supposedly selling electronic equipment, using various website addresses and numerous names, from JAMES JAGAR, ALEXANDER MARTINEZ, DAVE BOYLE etc, obviously fake. I saw an ad on GUMTREE and ONX advertising a laptop. After responding to the ad a few days later I received a mail from ALEXANDER MARTINEX with a link to the website GLOBALDIGITA. On this website electronic equipment is advertised at reduced prices. After doing an EFT into an FNB bank account for R12 000.00 which was to include the laptop and delivery by FEDEX, no delivery was made. I was then told to pay an extra R3 050 for extra shipping costs, into a CAPITEC bank account. A few days later I was asked to pay a further R6 050 into a different CAPITEC bank account for extra goods that were put in the parcel but I was told that they would refund me once I received the parcel. These guys are absolute con artists, convincing. After stupidly paying these amounts they then had the audacity to ask for a further R15 000.00. This is an organised operation and DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THESE SITES !!!!!!! My advice is to NEVER buy anything off a website without making absolutely sure they have a physical business address and even better, view the goods in person. Take your time and check the sites out carefully. These fraudsters change websites and names very quickly, making it difficult to track them down.

Bought a MacBook from "Digital Outlets" and they shipped my alleged laptop via "Indigenous-za" then all of a sudden when delivery started it was just one problem after the next with them asking me to pay for import duties and then them finding extra contents in my package so then they charged me more and eventually I refused to pay because I found out it was a scam.

The Digital Outlet web site is a scam fake site, usually fronted from OLX or Lacanto or similar free ads website. I paid a 40% deposit for a Sony Xperia Cell phone and then was introduced to their fake website www.indigenous-za.com with fake tracking number etc. There then follows a story about customs duty and they try and get more money from you. They used three different accounts from FNBm Capitec and ABSA. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS SITE OR THIS CELL NUMBER. They are also using 0737725377 for Indigenous-za for their man "James". The original Indian sounding voice changed to a West African voice later in the whole proceedings.
