1 |  +2 selling cars I am selling a ute on Gumtree placed ad after only a few hours I received a sms from gumtree with a question about the car from John Dean so I replird negotiated over a few emails tha price of the car he was to purchase from me his explaination as to why he couldn't come in person to see the car was reasonable stating he came from Adelaide South Australia but was at the moment working on a oil rig of the coast of New Zealand and was sending his agent to inspect the car and take the car I was happy with the agreed price and explanations from him so gave all my bank details to him on the understanding I would give the address of the car after all money $18100.00 was payed into my bank than I never heard anything for 24hrs to then get a email saying he couldn't access my account so deceide to then look up this oil rig wich led me to here |

Received a text message on mobile phone asking to email address above and then received two email replies as per below.
Almost identical to different scam listed here

I am buying this for my first son who just graduated on top of his class at Aviation University ,I want it to be the perfect graduation gift for him and am making it a surprise package ,Does it have any history I should be aware of? and why are you selling if you don't mind my asking. I don't mind adding an extra $300.00 for you just to take down the posting..I am already in talks with freighters that will handle the pickup and delivery .I will really appreciate if you can email more info
Due to the nature of my work i am a very busy man working all day, am a (Operating officer) am presently on-board, i don't have access to my bank account online as am not with my credit card details here but i have my ANZ bank account link up with my PayPal account so I will be paying you through Account to your nominated bank account or better still is if you have a PayPal account ,please get back to me with your BSB and account details or PayPal account so i can proceed with the payment and contact the courier agent who will come to pick it up and deliver it in NT for my son .Await your reply

Thank you for all the details that you sent me i appreciate your honesty with the detailed explanation regards to your words on the item status.,Just to let you know that am keen and interested in buying the car. moreover i have a private courier agent that will be coming down for the pick up as soon as you receive your fund and they will also handle all the sign necessary document on my behalf..Am happy to inform you that the fund is ready and available in my PayPal account as i said to you in my first email so am ready to transfer the fund into your nominated bank account as soon as you get back to me with your Bsb number ,Account Name and your Account number or if you have an account with PayPal you can get back to me with your PayPal email account .i will like you to disregard any kind of call or message concerning this car as I am confirming to you with this email that I am purchasing this car and its funds are ready to be transferred to your account.. Awaiting your response

I received an offer of purchase for a motorbike (mine - for sale on Gumtree.com.au):
First response was as a text via Gumtree to my mobile, including the reply address:

After responding to this email, I received this reply:
