Tom Brown approached me to buy a necklace I had advertised on Gum Tree , he said it was a birthday gift for his friend and to send into an address in China and he was an "Aussie working on an oil rig in China)
The necklace is very unusual and rare when I asked him if his girlfriend knew who Dinh Van was and if she asked for the necklace he said he didn't know...this set off alarm bells why would someone buy a necklace for over $1100 for someone who didn't know who the designer was.....
He told me to send the necklace to the below address and payment had been paid to my pay pal account which after over 48 hours payment still has not been received.

I have not heard from him since I questioned payment. He is a scammer and trying to rip of genuine buyers and innocent people....do not engage with this buyer

I listed an expensive item on gumtree and someone by the name of Ellin Armit contacted me asking me to send the watch to a friend for a birthday gift as he is currently working overseas on an Oil Rig. He asked to pay by paypal for his protection then sent me a fake paypal email stating the money had been sent but paypal would not release the money until I had shown documentation of postage. This rang alarm bells so I forwarded the email to paypal and they confirmed it to be a fake email. He also demanded that I gift wrap the item for him and write a happy birthday message with it. Who on gumtree would demand such a thing?? He asked that the item be sent to: Name: Igo Payne.
