Hello, I receive an email from the company that help in paying the church online staff that your pay check have been mailed to you via USPS and here is the tracking number, 9470101699320018048758.

Carolyn, I ask the company to send check more than a week so it would cover for the weeks that you have work but the check is more than your pay, so I will want you to help me to send some money to our church in California. I promise you $50 for that.

There is a letter with the check but you are to disregard the letter because its not yours. The letter is just to cover the check for the check to be more protected, so don't contact the name or email in the letter.

Deposit the check into your bank account via your bank ATM machine or your bank Mobile App and the fund would be available tomorrow morning. Get back to me as soon as you receive and deposited the check. I have also attached today's digest earlier and I hope you get that?

I said again that you should disregard the letter and it wont stop the payment. You are working for me and you should always follow my opinion.
You can't cash it at walmart because its not a cashiers check that can be cash instant. Try and get a local bank and deposit the check for not 24 hours bank verification.
Don't email anyone the deposit slip except me, Okay?
this is what I had ask him....
Hi Rev.,

First, all email newsletters went out for the day.

Now....
Question #1
I did get a letter with the check stating with a note that if I am being ask not to email the accountant and disregard the letter that I am not to do such as by not keeping her informed on the check and its funds from my email, that if I fail to email them once I get the check, it would result in a hold and a stop payment !!! Please explain further....
Question #2
I do not have a local bank account & wonder if I can just get the check cashed at Walmart???
Please reply asap, thank you

Anyway needless to say since my local Walmart does not have an indoor SunTrust bank, I took the cashiers' check to our local Regions bank, they ran 2 different verifications to see if check could be verified from a First Repiblic Bank as Regions even called this bank to hear that thier bank numbers are usually longer than the 4 check number listed on it. The banker that opens checking accounts also informed me that folks can purchased a book of these cashiers checks at a office depot and then print them out to look as a real check! Even though this Donald Enoch's name as the endorser was nowhere on the check nor a bank address. I did go online to research as I did when finding this place to report him, I had found that the Harvest Baptist churches do really exist, and the 2 in Iowa I emailed personally has never heard of a Rev, Donald Enoch and I should have known this when his picture was not on church staff but thought he may be new and they had not updated it maybe...also one of the church pastors called me to say he has not heard of him, both churches were sorry to hear this happened to me but at least I made them aware as I am you, that this man is mis-representing himself as a rev. in which I emailed the newsltters for 7 days over a two week period to receive a fake cashiers check. As I stated before, in my research, the bank really exist too and the churches, its not them, its these scammers using these places as a cover to scam folks as IF you can deposit a check or open a new account with your own cash as I was instucted to then deposit this fake check as the lady at the bank informed me, these scammers are hoping you will do then draw out some money to send the other church, ect. then they make money, not you as you will end up paying a lump sum back to a bank, however, most banks have caught on to these scams and say if enough folks will report them even in a local police report then just maybe they will get caught plus you will help prevent others from being used as I am trying to help you, therefore, I do hope you explore and investigate more before you do the work unlike me as this is not my first rodeo with a scammer, therefore, if you'll notice in a coloum, they ask for your name, address, phone, ect. then its most likely a scam as I hope you learn this as soon as you spot them and you will if its only by learning from experience. So I hope to help someone and save you alot of time and headaches

Similar to other posts related to this person who claimed to be a reverend with Harvest Baptist Church. I was contacted with an opportunity to send a digital newsletter to various people daily in exchange for $400 a week. After sending out newsletters for 2 weeks I was sent a cashiers check via FedEx out of the blue for a larger amount than what I was owed. This person asked me to deposit the check in my bank specifically via the ATM. This person was insistent that they check had to be deposited this way. They said once I deposited the check they would send me the address to where they would like the excess funds sent to. At this point it seemed like an obvious scam and people on this website have confirmed it. DO NOT cash any checks you may receive from this person. If you have already given this person your address, name, DOB, and phone number like I have then be sure to place fraud alerts on all 3 credit reports with each credit reporting agency, and be sure to provide this information to the FBI's internet crime complaint center (complaint.ic3.gov) to protect yourself and others in the future.
