Craigslist ad for "Care for dad." Poster claims he lives in Kansas and is moving his disabled dad to the job applicant's city. Claims to be willing to pay $18-20 per hour for a caregiver. Correspondence progresses along the typical lines for a craigslist caregiver scam. The poster wants to send the hired person a check for supplies before he and his father arrive and the job begins. After doing some research and learning about the scam, we didn't pursue the position beyond this point, but in other identical scams, the poster then wants the check deposited and some money sent back to the poster, and the check turns out to be fake. The applicant loses the money he or she sends to the poster. The poster also claims to own a business (in this case a bridal company) that turns out to be fake. (In this case, there's a website, www.timebridal.org, that is clearly for a fake business.) The poor writing indicates that English is not the poster's first language.
