Same as the above message received responding to truck for sale on farmmachinerysales.com.au. Stating working off shore for New Zealand Gas and Oil, with all the same story about organising a courier for pick up of vehicle and requesting the set up of a paypal account to pay for vehicle.

I advertised a car for sale on gumtree.com.au and rec'd a text message with this guy's email address asking me to email him back due to reception problems. It seems very much as per the first poster. This is from the scammer's email to me: " I am away at sea at the moment,i work with New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently offshore in New Zealand Taranaki Basin on kapo project. We do not have access to phone at the moment,its 15days off and 15days on,which is why I contacted you with internet messaging facility. What is your last negotiable price? and where is it located at the moment?
I am buying this for my for my holiday, and i want it to be delivered before my arrival in NT . However,does it have any history I should be aware of? and why are you selling if you don't mind my asking.I am already in talks with the courier that will handle the pick-up and delivery to my family.
As regards the payment, I can pay you through direct bank deposit,using ppal instant bank wire transfer service, I will need your bank details.If you are not comfortable with that, you can set up a paypal account proper at www.paypal.com.au and I will make the payment through paypal, this way, all I will need is your paypal email address. Cheers!!"
It all seemed legit even though a bit odd until I did a google search "Christopher Lowden scam"......
