1 |  +2 Gumtree Scam Janet Cool... Had item listed for 2 hours, recieved a text with no phone number just a weird name and email... was a little suss, as they didn\'t mention what item they were looking at as I had a few items listed, I asked them which item they were interested in and they responded \'Thanks for responding on time...and i\'m willing to know the lowest
price of it. As for the payment..i will be paying you via the fastest
and secure way to pay online(PayPal), and
a private courier agent would come for the pick up after the payment
have been made ...so no shipping included, so you can now send me your
PayPal email so i can pay in right away and also include your address
in your reply.If you don\'t have a paypal account, you can easily set
up one and setting up a paypal account doesn\'t take more than 5
minutes...just log on to www.paypal.com.au and sign up. its very
easy.I await your reply asap

Then still did not say what they were interested in.. so I asked again and they responded Okay let me have U̶̲̥̅̊r listed item for payment
Then I asked \'was it the lounge or...\'
they responded \'Yes †̥ђε̲̣̣̣̥ lounge, so ♓☺w much ÈŠÌŠÌ̅§ †̥ђε̲̣̣̣̥ final sales price?\'
hmmm...I then said best price $---
they said \'Okay Ŋo̶̷̩̥̊͡ problem about D̶̲̥̅̊at̶̲̥̅̊ , so let me have U̶̲̥̅̊r paypal email address for right away\'
All Dodgy!
It went on a little longer email back and forth.

Yeah right... they are going to send a courier to pick up an 8ft solid wood display unit.

I RECEIVED A TEXT WITHIN AN HOUR OF POSTING MY ADS, FROM A MOBILE WITH NO RETURN NUMBER. THE TEXT ASKED IF I COULD PLEASE REPLY BY EMAIL ONLY WITH THE COST OF MY ITEM ON GUMTREE.
BELOW ARE THE COPIES OF EMAILS TO AND FROM JANET COOL. WHEN L RECEIVED THE FIRST REPLY FROM HER I NOTED THAT THE ADDRESS WAS NOT THE SAME ADDRESS THAT I ORIGINALLY REPLIED TOO.

THESE IS THE EMAILS I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING FROM A JANET COOL, WHO FOUND MY AD/ADS ON GUMTREE, EVEN THOUGH WHEN ASKED, DID NOT KNOW WHICH ITEM IT WAS, INSTEAD SAYING WANTED ALL ITEMS.

AS YOU CAN SEE IT ISN'T HARD TO REALIZE THAT THIS WAS A SCAM, WHEN SAID THAT SHE WANTED TO PURCHASE ALL OF THEM, WHICH CAME TO A LITTLE OVER $13,000AUD.
A FAIR AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR SOMEONE TO JUST WANT TO PART WITH SO EASILY TO YOU WITHOUT ASKING ANY PARTICULARS ON THE ITEMS OR FOR A LOOK AT WHAT THEY ARE BUYING.
I HAVE SINCE THEN IN THE LAST HOURS OF THE SAME DAY RECEIVED ANOTHER TEXT ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS, JUST WORDED DIFFERENTLY, BUT THIS TIME IT HAS A FULL MOBILE NUMBER THAT YOU THINK YOU CAN RING, BUT WHEN I CALLED IT SAID THIS PHONE DOES NOT HAVE INCOMING CALLS PERMITTED.

THIS IS THE EXACT WORD FOR WORD OF THE TEXT, WHICH IS MORE CASUAL THEN THE FIRST TEXT FROM JANET COOL.
