1 |  +2 Responce from auto trader add I put an add in the classic auto trader to sell my 1956 buick Roadmaster for $18,000.00 and within a few days recieved a response that she was an oceanographer and the only way of communication was internet and wanted to buy my car at my price for her dad\'s birthday and if anything was wrong with it just say so and he will fix it as he is a mechanic and handyman, just open an account with paypal or give paypal information so money can be transfered to my accountand after that they will have a mover pick the car up.
I did not like the idea of giving any information on my account and so researched on the internet and found that other people have been scammed out of their hard earned mony and so I am posting this so that there is a record of more attempts for others to see that are willing to investigate. |

I also advertised a car on Auto Trader Classics. Got exactly the same story..."she" could only use the Internet because she was out at sea, was buying the car as a birthday gift for her dad, wanted me to use paypal. I immediately thought it was suspicious and sent "her" a reply asking her to verify her identity. Of course, never got a response!

BE AWARE of another emailer that wanted to buy my bike that I have advertised in Bike Trader UK. Without seeing it this is the third scam. They then ask either for Paypal account details and want you to ship it having sent payment for over the amount to cover this. I have already reported the first one who sent a fake cheque, but I have already been warned having read a report on this site so took it to the police.
All three have come via Yahoo.com DO NOT FALL FOR THIS .
Thanks a lot.I have actually tried to get this kind of Merchandise here earlier from here but most of the ones I got either have one fault or the other and some have even had accidents in the past while some are extremely exorbitant.As to the price, Price is Ok. So if you deem the offer good enough, If this is acceptable kindly get back to me with your paypal email address and the details below so i can proceed with the payment. I can only pay through paypal or bank transfer at the moment as i do have access to my bank account online, but i have it attached to my paypal account, and this is why i insisted on using paypal or bank transfer to pay,all i will need is your paypal email address to make the payments via PayPal and if you do not have a paypal account yet,its pretty easy to set one up at www.paypal.com and if you want the payment to be made via bank transfer send me your bank name,Account name,bank account, sort code for the payment..
i will be expecting your email.
