He initially sent me a text from 12083526084 and said \"no sms cos I\'m using internet sms facility\" in the end of the text with his email address inquiring about the car I have for sale on the website. I googled his name and this is one of the scam websites that came up. Just wanted to raise awareness or give more fuel to someone if they are pursuing this person.

< I am away at sea at the moment, I work as an Oceanographer and I am presently offshore in New Zealand Taranaki Basin on kapo project. I would have loved the agent to handle the payment in cash but he doesn\'t make payment on behalf customers. I can\'t make a Bank transfer from another country because of the security attached to my internet banking. In other words, I can only make a bank transfer from the IP I used in registering for my internet banking. The only available and secure method for me to make the payment is paypal. I would have loved to contact my bank to rectify this but as you know, I have no means of phone communication.

Hi David,
I would be more than happy to let your private pick-up agent give me the cash for the purchase of the car when he picks the car up. This allows you to use paypal to pay your pick-up agent then they can give me the balance upon pickup. If that doesn\'t work for you, your only other option is to come and give me the cash when you personally pickup the car. Those are you two options if you would like to purchase the car.

If you would like to go ahead with one of those options, let me know and I will more than gladly answer your questions about the car.

Thanks,
Brad

Subject: Re: 2001 Malibu

Hello Bradley,

Great reading from you. I am interested in the immediate purchase. I will take it for the price you\'ve mentioned and I will gladly cover PayPal charges from my end.

I can only make the payment via paypal because it\'s very safe and secure for both of us. In case you don\'t have a paypal account I\'ll advice you to register for one at www.paypal.com. I have a private pick-up agent that will contact you in-order to handle the pick-up at any location of your choice once the payment is completed.

Question: I\'ll like you to tell me more about the present mechanical condition, how often do you service it, mechanical history, have you ever experience any mechanical problem with it before and why are you selling it?

Look forward to reading from you at your earliest convinience.

Best Regards,
David

Same as all of you have posted. Anyone have any ideas on weaving a web to snare these jerks? It would be fun.

Received a text from (208) 254-2239 and an email response from gray11213@gmail.com. Both from David Gray wanting to buy my car and pay using PayPal. Text of the message is exactly as reported by others.
