The following is a text I received yesterday in regards to my \"Toyota Townace\" Ad on Gumtree:

\"I want to buy your Toyota Townace on Gumtree, how much is the lowest price? Pls reply to kellydiana54@yahoo.com. Await your urgent reply, Diana.\"

Upon my email that it is $2.500, and that all the information is in the ad, I received following email:

\"Hi,
How are you? Thanks for your response. I will be paying you $2,500 via my PayPal account,if my offer is accepted please send me the following information for PayPal and if you don\'t have an account you can easily create an account via www.paypal.co.nz, so i will be able to transfer the payment right now,transaction;

PayPal Email
Phone Number

I am a cabin crew with Virgin Airlines and do not have much time around me. Hope to hear from you as soon as possible so that i can make the payment and arrange for pick up as i will like the Toyota Townace to be picked.

Kind Regards,
Diana.\"

I answered that - since she lives in New Zealand as well - she surely has a New Zealand bank account, so can just transfer the money straight into my bank account, since I don\'t have PayPal and am not too keen to set it up. Her response was that it would be a lot easier for her to do it via PayPal. Anyway, I thought it was all a bit too easy and awkward, so I googled her email address and found all sorts of information about \"her\" scam:
