| email@example.com - Gumtree sale Hello, I have been trying to sell my vehicle and I received a email from a gentleman saying he would buy it sight unseen from a ad on gumtree, I received a number of emails asking about the car and that he was away, I told him he could collect once the monies cleared in my account. Well he then said that I had to pay a courier fee of $1850 and he would transfer the money for the vehicle as well as the courier fee, I told him I would do so once the funds had cleared into my bank account, he made no mention of paypal or that I had to pay this money out of my pocket, I then received a email through paypal saying that the monies would be released into my account once I confirmed the transfer for the courier had been completed through western union. This was never discussed and I did not agree to pay for the courier with my own funds as I do not have this sort of money in my bank. |
I have received a email tonight from Paypal stating that legal action will be taken if I do not pay for the courier fees.
The email address I am receiving the paypal correspondence from is below
