posted an add for a car on gumtree these were his emails

Hello thanks for reply, i am a marine engineer, i am at sea right now. I
am buying this for my son as a surprise gift. I can only pay through
paypal at the moment as i don\'t have access to my bank account online(i
dont have internet banking with it), but i have it attached to my
paypal account, and this is why i insisted on using paypal to pay,all
i will need is your paypal email address to make the payment, and if
you dont have a paypal account yet, you can set one it cant take you
less than 3mins to do that, i will be expecting your paypal email so l
can pay. I have a pick up agent that will come for the pick up after
payment has been sorted, l will be waiting for your reply asap..


When told we did not have a paypal account



I won\'t be back in a month and i really need this as urgent for my son..
The agent company dont accept any form of
payment to be paid on the pick up point for their security purpose.
All he\'s coming there for is to do the checking, and delivery. The
only easier way for me to pay in the money is through PayPal and you
will get the funds in your account before my agent come there for the Pick Up.
I can make a direct deposit with my PayPal to your Bank account and
all i will need is your Account number, full name and the bs

since these emails we have had many hang up phone calls on our mobiles and landline....

3rd May 2013 another attempted scam by this scumbag. Same situation re payment for a car wanting to pay via paypal and adding additional money to cover cost of his agent to collect goods on his behalf covering payment to his agency first. The catch is you have to forward money first via western union to some dude in china,then your funds will be released via paypal to cover the cost of the purchase of the goods he supposedly brought from you.Emails come through a bogus paypal that look original.Anything with an email address via paypal linked to a Gmail account are bogus. Call paypal and speak to them first if you require any confirmation. Cheers
