Basically, I received a text message from unknown person, there was no phone number, just some letters, saying that they were interested in the Gucci Bag I was selling and wanted me to contact them via email. They asked me a few questions about the bag:

Thanks for your reply and am glad to know that it is still available for sale. However i have few questions on the item you are selling.
1,I would like to know the reason why you are selling it?
2,Do you have the original box for it?
3,what is the present condition of the item and is it ok to be a gift?
4,Do you mind if i pay you through paypal though i would be willing to add an extra dollars to cover

the shipping because am not local at the moment i am out of town on a rig offshore and i would like to purchase this item as a gift for someone very special to me at overseas (Beijing,China). If you do not have PayPal account, you can do so by going to www.PayPal.com to set up your account it is free, easy and guarantees transaction safety.Once you send me your paypal email account, I will send you the payment for your item as well as $90 to cover shipping via Auspost Airmail(Standard International Post).
I would be glad if my request is favorably considered, few more photos will be appreciated as well.
Thanks

I replied and told her that I would send her photos later in the day because I was busy. Funny thing was, she didn’t even wait for the photos and immediately “sent” the payment, yet said she “a few more photos will be appreciated”.
I didn’t really think much at the time until this message:

Hello,
I have sent the payment from my account.....and i must say this transaction is OK.
Please note: I'm shipping the item to my receiver in China and here is his address below:

Name: OTTE RUDIGER AKI
Address: ChaoyangQu huang SanMudia 10
State: BEIJING
City: BEIJING
Country: CHINA
Zip code:100123
Phone Number : 15810576105

I want you to ship the item via Auspost Airmail(Standard International Post),the tracking number starts with "LK",this is because i want the receiver to avoid customs declaration and tax at destination, reason is because its a gift, the receiver is not expecting it or knows whats inside the package, also i want you to help me wrap it with a gift wrapper and then write, specify and declare it as "Gift" get back to me as soon as its sent......also i want you to go through the PayPal notification email so you'll know what next to do so that your account can be credited without delay.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards
N.B.
Make sure you send the certificate or receipt with it if you have one.

Who’s NB? HAHAHA

Normally when a customer makes a payment, the amount goes straight through and I get a notification as well. I questioned about the payment. Thsi is what she said:

i just get notification email from paypal that the money was deducted and notification email was sent to you,i will advise that you check your inbox and you junk folder for the notification email from paypal so you can read it and know what you need to do before your account can be credited.

In the spam folder??? Okay just some tips, if paypal has contacted you through spam mail, it’s definitely a scam!

After telling the scammer I was not going to proceed with the transaction, she started to become more aggravated. Contacted PayPal and they were able to confirm that this was a scam :)
