|+1 Untitled Overpayment Scam on Cars.com, #11517|
|Anonymous () Added the following extra information on :2013-08-13 04:24:12|
Wants to buy my car advertised on Cars.com through Paypal, as a gift for his Dad, Donald Jones, in Pocatello, Idaho.
First contact via text message. Then via email. Requests more info on \'mechanical condition of the car\', but says he is willing to pay asking price immediately. Responds to my emails promptly, stating the need to proceed with great \"trust\"; here\'s his quote: \"I am away at sea at the moment, I work as an Oceanographer presently assigned to an important mission outside the country. Once I make the paypal payment and is transferred into your account, the agent will contact you in-order to handle the pickup from your location and he will also be of assistance concerning the change of ownership by presenting all the information\'s/documents needed to complete the change of ownership. This transaction is based on HUGE amount of trust and I expect to see this from your end as it is on mine.\"
