Scammer Information Details of Scam Report
"James" contacted me regarding a post on Care.com and was needing someone to care for his sick mother. She was said to have cerebral palsy. Because of his schedule, he would need me to pick up some groceries, towels, and sheets for his mother the day before her arrival. In a following email, he said that he thought it best to send a check to me to serve as a deposit for securing my position and for the supplies he would be needing. He asked if I was familiar with selling things on Ebay because I would need to help his mother sell some things. He wanted my full name, address, state, zip, and phone number. I thought it odd that he wanted my phone number, because that is how he initially contacted me...via text message. When he gave me the option of providing him with my bank account number and bank so that his financial advisor could deposit my money, I got leary. He said that time did not permit him to contact me by phone. When I insisted that he give me the address of him mom's(Paola)home, I did not receive an email directly back like I had been getting up until that point. Please be cautious about giving out your information! NEVER be too trusting.
