| John Stokovich inheritance scam |
This man claims to represent an off shore financial institution in the UK and he has a deceased client "William"(our last name) and they believe he may be an extended relative. As he has been unable to find other relatives and he is writing us. He has 6.8 million US in insurance proceeds to disperse. He requests name, address, profession, email, phone and fax information to be sent by email or fax. The letter has a London address (155 Buckingham Palace Rd. SW1 W9S.J) and the letter return address is 1450 Meyerside Dr. Mississauga Ont. L5T 2N5.
I see others have reported that neither of the addresses mentioned exist and one person reported that after some contact information was given, money was eventually requested.
I presume my letter is a scam to steal identity information or directly to solicit money.
