Please note this e-mail is from an interested customer not from Auto Trader. Never reply to an e-mail that asks for personal information or copies of your vehicle documentation including the V5C. Keep vehicle documentation and details regarding your vehicle including your VIN number secure at all times. If you are in doubt regarding an e-mail you have received, report it immediately to enquiries@autotrader.co.uk or call us on 0845 345 3450. Reply 1 Thanks for your prompt response.Am okay with it and i want to buying it right away at the rate of (€7,000.00).I am satisfied with the description of it in which it would be convenient for me to pay through PayPal.I am not available to check it up before purchasing but i have checked the necessary details of the advert...If you are not familiar with PayPal,i would suggest you visit www.paypal.com and make a registration with them and contact me with your PayPal email address after completing the registration. I am presently making proper arrangement with my picker in order for him to schedule how to come for the pick up of the item after payment is made. Please get back to me with your PayPal email address so that i can proceed with the payment. You can see where this is going ..... Sounds really fish and I did a few checks online and the last reply was as follows. I had contacted the Pick up agent as regards the schedule of shipment and i am just about to remit the payment to your account when i had this little problem with the pick up agent.He said he would not be coming for the pick up unless i pay the pick up agent commission fee with registration fee,just for him to be able to schedule the pick up time.The problem am having with the agent now is that hes only ready to accept his payment through western union money transfer and i am unable to get that done from my end as i am very busy and having an hectic day ....Sir/Ma,i have to ask you to help me with the pick up fees....I would include the pick up fee of (£600) with the payment of yours that am making through paypal...After you have been notified about the payment,i would need you to assist me to send the charges of pick up agent (£600)through western union money transfer. The total payment am making now is (£7,800.00)...Remember that out of the whole fund,(US$7,000.00) is for the sale of what am buying from you,(£600.00) is for the western union payment of pick up agent and the remaining (£200.00) is for the western union charges of sending money through them Please do get back to me just to let me know that you understand all this so that i can move on with the payment now. I sent the following I am a little confused now as to what exactly is going on here Why would he need payment through western union as they are in the UK if you include their charges I can pay them directly via credit card for the collection once I get the full amount into my PayPal account. Or you can give me their number and a contact there and I will speak to them regards the collection. If their fee is £600 the amount you agreed to pay for the vehicle was £8300.00 as per your earlier email just make a payment for £8900.00. Long as i can pay via cc, i will need their number so I can confirm the payment. I am not prepared to pay anything over western union when they are here in the uk that seems a little ridiculous. DONT FALL FOR THIS SCAMMER. and got no further replies from him.... | |||
