Letter in the mail
 Scammer
  Information
Name:
Mr. John Ericson
Scam Website:
A letter arrived in the mail, regarding a client in the UK that had passed away. This client was Canadian, but had lived in the UK for over 20 years. Apparently this client had my name and contact information. They died, leaving 3.8 Million dollars behind. This client had the same last name as me, and no immediate relatives. The letter specified that the sender wanted assistance in "repatriation of these funds". In short, I would become a beneficiary with millions of dollars if I just sent out my email address, full name, occupation, phone/fax, and ref number of the letter. I looked up the email address, with scam added after the name, and came to this website. This scam has been used before.

Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell. And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
