Of course this is the third similar text I have received since posting the vehicle for sale, so immediately googled the phone number and it was the very first thing that popped up, his number and this scam site. I found it several other times as well. Really, who texts you and offers to pay nearly full price for a vehicle unseen. Stupid people looking for more stupid people.
Please use common sense and don\'t let these \"marine biologists\", oil riggers, bank executives ......
get even one cent. I realize some of us are experiencing hard times and would love to believe these offers are legitamate and that is what they are counting on. They pay you through paypal, supposedly, state an error of overpayment and then ask you to please wire back the overpayment, or the overpayment is for the transport agent that is to pick up the vehicle, and please send the money to them, via western union - again the same person - you send them your hard earned money and the funds they paid via paypal are not valid or reversed, because as you know you cannot get your money from paypal for atleast 3 days normally - even if bank transfer and by that time the money is not there or the transaction has been reversed buy the \"purchaser\".
No, this has never happened to me, but I have done a lot of research on these type scams and it makes me physically ill that even one person can be taken advantage of in this way.
Here are other phone numbers 415-548-7378 and 630-286-9793 which were scam emails as well.
Good luck selling, but be careful???
