The original ad was for the 1997 Airstream Safari for $3600. No phone number, just the encrypted Craigslist email link. My husband emailed this person and here was her reply: \"Hi, My name is Christine Tarter, happy to see you are interested in my 1997 Airstream Safari Classic. Let me give you a few details about it. Really good shape, never had any problems with it, no scratches or dents, the trailer is free of any accidents:(Length (feet): 25, Sleeping capacity: 4, Air conditioners, Awnings) The title is legally under my name, clear and free of any liens or loans. The price was reduced at $3,600. Because of my divorce settlement, i own this trailer and as a woman i don`t need it so i`m trying to get rid of it as soon as possible (that`s why i`m selling it so cheap). If you have any other questions, or need more info and photos, just drop me an email and I\'ll get back to you. Thank you!\" So of course we emailed back with more questions and expressed an interest to view the trailer, indicating where we were from, and included our names and cellphone numbers. Then we did some research on the price of said trailer, and along with NADA guides, this scamdex report was on the search results page. BAM! Boy were we shocked! \"Ms.Tarter\" email is nearly identical to the one here on scamdex!! BUT... We DID find a REAL Person in Springfield MO named Christina (Tina)Tarter! | |||
