First email:

\"Please advice on the present condition of the vehicle with the service history as well and please does it have any more history I should be aware of and why are you selling if you don\'t mind my asking, I will really appreciate if you can email more info.

I am buying this for my first son who just graduated ontop of his class at Charles Darwin University in NT ,He studied Building Design & Architecture. I want it to be the perfect graduation gift and a surprise package for him .I work with New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently offshore in New Zealand Taranaki Basin on kapo project.I do not have access to phone at the moment, its 15days off and 15days on,which is why I contacted you with internet messaging facility. So due to the nature of my job and location i will not be able to come for inspection,am a very busy type as i work long hours everyday off shore oil rig department,i have gone through your advertisement and i am satisfied with it and am sure my son will be more than happy with it.

Regarding the payment,i will be paying you through PayPal linked up with my ANZ bank account, please get back to me with your paypal details so i can process the payment, you can alternatively send your bsb acct name and number if you have no PayPal acct.I have been introduce to a reputable shipping company that will handle the delivery in Darwin after the whole fund has been cleared into your account.Await your reply.\"

Second email:

\"Am satisfied with your firm asking price and I really appreciate your honesty as that is what i really need most as wont be able to come for inspection as am at work ,just want to buy the it as a surprise package for my son to encourage him towards his future endeavor and i really believe he will really enjoy using it.I would have love to ask for inspection but am making it a %100 surprise package for him and i dont want him to know about it until it delivered.
However i just got a mail from the shipping company now that i will need to pay for the freighting fees before they can schedule pre-shipping/ pickup date, they charged $1,650aud for the pick up and delivery, but the problem is they only accept western union money transfer as form of payment which is sent to their HQ in the China.

As you are well aware of, due to the nature of my work am away and do not have access to western union, most post offices have western union section, will it be okay with you if I add the $1,650aud to the amount I am transferring? and as soon as the money goes through you can help me make the western union transfer of the freighting fees through western union money transfer? You are not obliged to help me, but i will indeed appreciate your help as I am a little incapacitated here.\"

Third email:

\"I made the transfer from my paypal to your commonwealth bank and I am very sorry about inconveniences that this might have caused you cos pay pal strongly advised on this as a security measure that both helps the buyer and the seller when doing transactions like this.Paypal told me that they would be holding the funds until you get back to them with the western union receipts that confirms you have transferred the pick up fees to the agent head office for security reason, then paypal would now credit your account immediately at once cos they said they dont credit account install mentally.
I will plead with you to try and get this sorted out asap at the nearest post office close to you and get back to pay pal with the western union details for them to process the transaction and put the money trough in your account asap so that the pick up schedule could take place in time.I will be looking forward hearing from you soon.\"

This time, I responded with the question: \"I dont think I can transfer the $1,650 freight costs without Commonwealth bank releasing the funds first.\"

Fourth and last email sounded desperate and fake!:
