I was sent a text asking to contact through email and he put his email in the text. I then started emailing him. He said that he was unable to pick up the item as he was working all around the country and out of town (thought it was a bit weird as it was Christmas time and everything) he then asked for bank account details or paypal being cautious I said I would prefer PayPal. I was then sent an email from him saying to check my emails as he had transferred money. I replied saying I had yet to receive anything and checked my paypal transaction history and there was nothing in it. He said that it wouldn't show up on my paypal yet as funds were pending (here I thought it was weird as funds always show when pending with a date stating when they would be avaliable) he said to check my junk mail as emails may have ended up in there. I checked and there were emails which said he had paid a courier fee and that I would have to get a Western Union Money Transfer of $500 and take a photo and email through to paypal to verify (this I thought was weird, as if Paypal would have the resources to visually verify things like this and there was no specific place I was told to send the photo through to). He then continued to chase me up and said that it was the weekend and that I couldn't do it until Monday (thank god I had a few days to think about it and think it was odd otherwise I might have followed through) he continued to email and that's when I looked at the email from paypal again and thought it looked weird/ had weird graphics was a bit blurry and was addressed to my email address rather than my name like paypal.
The text messaged showed up on my phone as his name "Paul" rather than a random number like a msg from an unknown number would usually show, I have tried calling and it is not connected.
