Gumtree Scammer!
 Scammer
  Information
Name:
Samantha Smith
Email Address:
smithgirl1960@gmail.com
I put an ad on gumtree about selling an original brand of a woman bag. This person name is Samantha Smith (of course it's not his/her real name), then she texted me that she was interested in buying the bag. It says that she wanted me to reply her by email, not on text messages. Then, I emailed her. She explains that she needs the bag really urgent for her daughter who's getting married in Beijing, China. We finally made a deal, she insisted to use paypal for the payment, I didn't think it was odd at all. Cause she said paypal is safe and faster. Then I gave her my sister's email. The next day, my sister got an email (I gave my sister's email for the paypal account) and it says my sister has received the money. Then Samantha emailed me and said she has sent the money, I said yes I have received the money. She wanted me to her send th bag to her daughter "Murray Smith" via Australia Post to this address:
Murray Smith
Chuan Mei daxue dingfuzhuang Chaoyang District,
Beijing,
Beijing,
100024
P.R. China
Tomorrow morning, I emailed her asking for the address number, but instead of giving me the address number, she gave me a telephone number 156-1122-2815. I emailed her again and again asking for the address number because I was ready to send the bag (It was saturday back then, and Australia Post closes at 2 pm). The next thing I did was Just covering and stuffing the bag nicely. When I arrived at the Australia Post, I was waiting for my sister so we both can send it together. My sister came, she asked me the number of the address. I said Samantha hasn't replied me yet. My sister suggested me to search it on google map. I didn't think much, then I copied and pasted the address Samantha gave me on the internet. And suddenly.. THIS PAGE CAME UP AS A SCAMMER REPORT. I got confused and freaked out, because this page has exactly the same address as I was searching for. I immediately showed this page to my sister who was standing right infront of me. Everything was just makes sense in my mind, like I couldn't replt her on her number on text messages right after she texted me for the first time, her grammar is a bit weird as an Australian, why China, why she said her daughter was getting married but at the end she said the address was her son's university. Everything was really just makes sense, and that's right, as you can tell, this person is really a scammer. I am clearly not the first victim. Be careful guys! If possible, send this scammer to the police, so you won't be the next victim!
