1 |  +3 Craigslist cheap grand piano Same issue as many here are reporting.... I should have known better. I emailed the person from the ad. Here is his/her reply:
My name is Barbara, happy to see you are interested in my Yamaha C 3 Conservatory Series grand piano C3D S/E. Let me give you a few details about it. Really good shape, never had any problems with it, the instrument is very well maintained it has no humidity exposure, the instrument has been gently played. Measures 6\' with classic grand piano design and desirable satin ebony finish, we purchased new from a local Yamaha piano dealer in the early 1980s. The price was reduced at $1,800. Because of my divorce settlement, I own this instrument and I don\'t play the piano so i`m trying to get rid of it as soon as possible that`s why i`m selling it so cheap.
If you have any other questions, or need more info and photos, please feel free to ask.

"barbara" contacted me back about the piano and I thought the email was too good of a deal to be true. Then I looked the piano up on the internet and found this same exact email that I had recieved as a response. Obvious fake.

I, too, should have known that price on this piano was way too good to be true. Thank you for posting the scam. I received identical email messages. I invited "Barbara" to contact me by phone to discuss details.
The Craigslist Toledo posting to which I responded has since been removed.
When doing a search for the email address nothing comes up on Google. However, a search for the
revealed several more postings:

Hi Mike,
As I told you in my first email, I recently got divorced. I got a new job and moved to Miami, Florida for a new start. The piano is already at the shipping company in Miami sealed and ready for the shipping. My presence won't be necessary because I prearranged the deal with Google Wallet. The deal includes free delivery and it will arrive at your address in 1-3 days. You will have 5 days to try out prior to making any purchase and if by any reason you find something you don't like about it you can send it back at my expense.
If you are interested in knowing more info about how it works, I can ask Google to send you an email with more information on how to purchase it. Google Wallet will contact you shortly after they have the details with all the information that you need to complete this deal and you will also have proof that I am covered by them and a legitimate seller. If you would like to receive the email from Google will all the transaction information please reply with your full name, shipping address and phone # and they will contact you right away.
