An official looking letter from a top executive representing the Audi company advising that pursuant to a global random selection the person with the email account chosen had won $900,000.00 US and a 2018 Audi Q7.
A second email followed requesting vital information sufficient enough to get the proverbial ball rolling on the way to an easily acquired U.S. identity.
The whole thing seemed too good to be true. After a brief search I became convinced that it was a scam. I then proceeded to reply letting them know that I’d be sending all correspondence to the FBI as well as the local branch of law enforcement for obvious reasons. Unbelievably, I received a follow up lengthy email with further details and more information about them and even a phone number to call! This email now revealed the country of origin as India. Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell. And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
