Auction/eBay Scam
1 |  +1 Car buying scam Tryed to buy my car online. Said he was working out of darwin and was going to get a courier to pick up vehicle. Sent through a money transfer via paypal and needed a pick up fee from myself to be paid out of my pocket through western union and sent to a courier company in asia. Paypal account was probably stolen.
Ive been on to him the whole time and led him on mainly to waste his time thinking he was getting something out of it. Obvious signs were poor english and not enough letters when i asked for his drivers licence number. What a tool |

CAR BUYING SCAM
Offered to purchase our vehicle advertised for sale on Carsales, Trading Post and Gumtree
The e-mail we received stated the following;
"I need you to know that i have a bit of situation at hand which is why i needed this vehicle.
I work for EMC and i'm presently away in Darwin on a project with no means of getting home, i need this vehicle transport myself and my tools back home as i'm originally from Sydney.
Please send me your bank details as i'm ready to transfer the payment for the vehicle to your account in full."
We requested full name, address, drivers Licence number and copy and phone number of which the following was provided;

Address: Unit 13 26 - 28 Wallumatta Rd Caringbah NSW 2229
Licence Number: 12533469
When asked why he did not provide a phone number and drivers licence copy he responded with;
"I do not have a scanner as i told you i'm a truck driver and i'm working on a site at the moment, There's no phone reception where i am at the moment so, my best contact is through email as i'm lucky to have the internet up-link from my office server working for me.
Please i need you to be more understanding just as i trust every information you have provided to me about the car.Send me your details and i will proceed with the payment asap.

The phone number provided was a Victoria area code not NSW which is 08 and when called was diverted straight away.
