Gumtreei Australia (gumtree.com.au)
| Gumtree scam Agrees to purchase item from gumtree add posted, says all the right things, Requires courier payment through westpac bank secure payments to confirm goods are collected, Sends fake email from Westpac bank Australia ensuring payment will be credited to my account when courier has been paid, email states security of payment etc looks legit, after payment made buyer requests extra $ for other costs/insurance etc, is very abrupt giving instructions and time frame, hassles, says he works on oil rig , can’t come to see item in person, needs item urgently , sends emails 24/7 requesting update and payment . A complete pig ! I informed the Westpac Bank about it and they had no interest even though he is using a fraudulent copy of their logo and is posing as them ??? Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
